A lot of exciting resources are on the horizon regarding music and worship from your synod’s publisher. Here’s a sneak peek . . .
VARIATIONS FOR ORGAN
A multi-volume set of organ variations is planned for release over the next year. Look for the first volume yet this fall. Hymns old and new are treated in a variety of styles, with individual variations serving as hymn introductions, alternate accompaniments, or—when strung together— flexible partitas for pre-service, post-service, or Communion distribution. VOCAL SOLOS FOR THE CHURCH YEAR
Due to the pandemic, the use of choirs has been temporarily suspended by many congregations. What better time than this fall to introduce a book of vocal solos! Based on well-known hymns, this collection offers options for the festival half of the church year and beyond. To explore other vocal collections, click here.
WELS NATIONAL WORSHIP CONFERENCE
Almost a dozen commissions for the 2021 WELS National Worship Conference are in development, all on materials from the new Christian Worship. And most will be published and available at the time of the conference! For recordings of previous worship conferences, click here.
EARLY CHILDHOOD MUSIC COLLECTIONS
There are now more early childhood ministries in WELS than there are grade schools. Several collections of age-appropriate music are in production—some selected for its appropriateness for worship, others selected for fun use in the classroom—all Christ-centered for the spiritual nourishment of Jesus’ little lambs and those that hear them sing his praises! HYMNS FOR LIFE HYMNOLOGY CURRICULUM
Don’t forget about Year B of the Hymns for Life curriculum, scheduled for release in summer 2021! Year A is available now. If you didn’t start this year, you can begin anytime with any year. Learn more at nph.net/hymnsforlife.
By God’s grace, we’re forging ahead, in some ways more robustly than ever before! We look forward to serving you now and well into the future. And we thank you for partnering with us to use our resources in your local ministry endeavors. As always, questions and feedback, as well as requests for consulting or recommendations, are welcome.
Blessings in Jesus,
