Thoughts on Favorite Ministry Resources

I’ve said to more than one person that these Franzmann commentaries are worth their weight in gold. While they are not exegetical offerings that engage the Hebrew or Greek text of each verse, their content is clear and applications are rich. I think they were originally written as a commentary with Sunday school teachers in mind. Pastor, teacher, Sunday school teacher, layperson, everyone can benefit from Franzmann’s clear, faithful handling of the Scriptures. He wrote as a man who had a clear love for the Word of God and a desire for pastors and teachers to share that love with their students and hearers. – Anonymous on the Bible History Commentary Old Testament and Bible History Commentary New Testament set

[Doctor of Souls] is an easy-to-read book that can be read for review and encouragement or as a reference book for pastors on a particular subject. Our circuit has been using Doctor of Souls for study at our circuit meetings. The book has sparked good discussions at our meetings with both new and experienced pastors chiming in. – Richard Waldschmidt (St. Jacobi, Greenfield, WI) on Doctor of Souls: The Art of Pastoral Theology

Pastor Appreciation Month is a time to thank called workers for faithfully preaching and teaching God’s Word to us. Not sure how to thank your pastor this year? Let him choose a gift with an NPH e-gift card!
