From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is the grand, redemptive story of God’s love for you and me. Nowhere else are we able to peer into the very depths of God’s heart and hear him say to us, “This is how much I love you…” Nowhere else are we able to find absolute certainty in who we are and what we mean to God—all because of our Savior, Jesus.
As you embark on a journey of spiritual growth and read through The Story of God’s Love, come back to this post for the Weekly Reading Guide which highlights the sections of the book to read through each day (Monday – Friday) and poses four devotional questions for your consideration. You can download the Weekly Reading Guide for free, print it, and jot down notes for yourself. Each of the Weekly Reading Guides will remain archived on this post so you can come back to them whenever you want.
God bless your study of his Word!

This week in The Story of God’s Love: The Third Vision: The Seven Trumpets; The Fourth Vision: The Seven Visions; The Fifth Vision: The Seven Bowls; The Sixth Vision: Christ and the Antichrist; The Seventh Vision: Christ and Satan, The Heavenly City, and Christ’s Return.
Exiled on Patmos, John is shown five more visions by the Holy Spirit—his third vision reveals the damage done by false teachers—yet Christ rules over all things… The fourth vision shows the attacks of Satan, the sinful world, and the Antichrist against the church, but God gives the ultimate victory to his people… John’s fifth vision shows manifestations of God’s wrath and judgments against sin… The sixth vision reveals Jesus decidedly defeating the Antichrist and all who oppose him… John’s seventh and final vision reveals Jesus defeating Satan and points ahead to the home in heaven waiting for all believers… The book of Revelation ends after Christ’s words of assurance that he will return—indeed, he is coming soon.
The Story of God’s Love isn’t over, even though you’ve reached the end of this reading challenge. No, the story of God’s love for you continues on and on—in your life here and now, dear Christian, and for all eternity.
Until the day Christ returns, we echo the words of the apostle John: “Come, Lord Jesus!”
