Thank you. This was a great way to discuss issues many feel are trivial but can impact our prayer life. A great blessing especially about written prayers.

A possible suggestion – transcripts would be nice. As time goes by I’m sure others and myself will be – “Oh they talked about this once – which episode?”

Thank you for this Great discussion. I have always struggled with prayer and whether I should use written or my own prayers. I often felt like if I read something that was already written I was cheating. I like to write my prayers in a prayer journal. I have been doing this for about 14 years so I can keep my mind, focused on what I’m praying for. It was so nice to hear that it’s OK to use written prayers, I do have quite a few of the books you talked about look forward to future episodes. God blessings on your day.

Thank you for an interesting discussion. I appreciate the reference to reliable prayer books. I have been looking for other books of prayer besides the Lutheran Book of Prayer and additional devotional material besides our Daily devotion booklet, so your references were helpful.
