Making jello can be fun. After you add water to the powder and pour it into a mold, it takes on that shape. Your attitude can be like jello in the sense that it starts to look like the example we follow. What mold do others expect you to use?
Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. Romans 12:17
Have you ever pushed someone who pushed you? Did you ever say something nasty back to the person who made fun of you? Have you ever felt hate in your heart for someone who hurt you? The sinful world tells you that you can be evil to someone if he or she was evil to you first. The world says that, but the Lord doesn’t. It is a sin to do wrong, say what is wrong, and think what is wrong, even if someone was nasty to you. Your heart and attitude isn’t molded like jello to look like the world around you. Your heart is molded to look like Jesus. He didn’t repay evil with evil, but conquered evil with his holy precious blood and his death on the cross. He forgave all of your mean actions and nasty words. Jesus’ forgiveness is so powerful that he even cleanses the sinful thoughts from your heart. You no longer are like the world, but like Christ!
