Episode 12: Featuring guest John Covach

Sometimes spiritual growth doesn’t start with a dramatic change—but with a quiet decision to turn back to what matters.

In this episode, we talk with Pastor John Covach about My 180: Trusting God More, the third book in a devotional series designed to help believers take a focused, 180-day journey with God’s Word. Drawing from his own experiences as a longtime pastor and follower of Christ, Pastor Covach shares how intentional time in Scripture, prayer, and reflection can help deepen our trust in God—day by day.

We’ll explore the role of the Holy Spirit in shaping that trust, the importance of slowing down when reading Scripture, and how even small, steady habits can lead to meaningful spiritual renewal.

Whether you’re just starting your own 180 or looking for encouragement in your walk with Christ, this conversation is a thoughtful and gospel-centered reminder that trusting God more isn’t about trying harder—but returning daily to his promises.

Great conversation! John is such a natural speaker, and your questions prompted him to explain simply and richly what it means to have a living relationship with God who loves us. Thanks for the pleasant, enriching listen.

I agree some of the books of the Bible are very difficult to read and sometimes even reading several times over at a time or in a week does not help. Like Revelation Chapter 13 – there are two beasts discussed (Antichrist and False Prophet) and verse 11 – “had two horns like a lamb” – I’m still working on that one. First thought – lambs don’t have horns. Definitely need more time to learn.

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts Joe! You’re absolutely right that some sections of Scripture, like Revelation 13, can be especially challenging. It’s one of those books that really makes us slow down and wrestle with what’s being communicated. Thanks again for listening and sharing! Keep digging into the Word—it’s always worth it. Blessings on your day.
