Challenges That Come with Change
God does not change. His love and his promise of help is always there. We can always depend on that. God’s promise “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20) assumes that there will be changes, not only in our individual lives but throughout the ages. So life…

Teaching Bible History and the Catechism:
A Letter From the EditorDear fellow servant of the Word, One of the results of living in a busy and increasingly secular society is that students are entering our confirmation classes with little to no knowledge of the Bible and Bible history. I have heard pastors say, “How can I effectively teach the Christian faith when the students struggle…

The Importance of Introductions
Clement of Alexandria (c. 150-c. 215) compared successful catechesis to a game of catch. The game relies not just on the skill of the thrower but also on the readiness of the one catching to join the rhythm of the game.1 How ready are your adult learners to join the rhythm of the game when…

You need to consider several factors. A major concern should be gaining an understanding of why your child is experiencing difficulty in…

The mission of Northwestern Publishing House is to deliver biblically sound, Christ-centered resources within the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod and beyond. As the publisher for and subsidiary of the WELS, NPH has been a 501(c)(3) organization since 1966. This means that NPH is recognized as a non-profit and tax-exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service.
We have fulfilled our mission for over 130 years. While publishing is much different today than when we first began, our ministry of serving others with the good news of salvation remains. God has blessed NPH with dedicated and gifted servants who daily carry out his work. We are deeply thankful for the people who have been instrumental in our ministry in years past and who play a role today.
To God be the glory!
