Why Doesn’t the Bible Tell Us Everything?

Why doesn’t the Bible tell us more? Why doesn’t it give us every historical detail, every answer to life’s why, and every curiosity about heaven or how God works behind the scenes? Because that was never its purpose. The Bible wasn’t written to satisfy our curiosity. It was written to reveal our Savior. That’s the…

  • What Does It Mean That the Bible Is Inerrant?

What Does It Mean That the Bible Is Inerrant?

God does not lie. God does not make mistakes. God does not change. Because of these immutable facts, his Word is inerrant. When we say that the Bible is inerrant, we’re confessing that it is completely without error in everything it says—every doctrine, every detail, every promise. Inerrancy means that Scripture, in its original writings,…

What Does It Mean That the Bible Is Inspired?

About Us

The mission of Northwestern Publishing House is to deliver biblically sound, Christ-centered resources within the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod and beyond. As the publisher for and subsidiary of the WELS, NPH has been a 501(c)(3) organization since 1966. This means that NPH is recognized as a non-profit and tax-exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service.

We have fulfilled our mission for over 130 years. While publishing is much different today than when we first began, our ministry of serving others with the good news of salvation remains. God has blessed NPH with dedicated and gifted servants who daily carry out his work. We are deeply thankful for the people who have been instrumental in our ministry in years past and who play a role today.

To God be the glory!
