    Our Father in Heaven

This post is a continuation of the series, “Meditations on the Lord’s Prayer.” Click here to read the introductory post. “With these words, God tenderly invites us to believe that he is our true Father and that we are his true children, so that we may pray to him as boldly and confidently as dear…

  • Lord, Teach Us to Pray

    Lord, Teach Us to Pray

“Lord, teach us to pray…” In response to his disciples’ request, Jesus taught them how to pray to their heavenly Father. That same prayer he taught his disciples all those years ago is perhaps the most well-known, most-spoken prayer still to this day. Christians worldwide join together to pray variations of it at worship services…

Does God Really Want to Hear All My Problems?

“Call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me” (Psalm 50:15). I’m ashamed to admit that I don’t often do a very good job of calling on God in times of trouble. Going to him with my problems is often an afterthought or last resort when all…

About Us

The mission of Northwestern Publishing House is to deliver biblically sound, Christ-centered resources within the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod and beyond. As the publisher for and subsidiary of the WELS, NPH has been a 501(c)(3) organization since 1966. This means that NPH is recognized as a non-profit and tax-exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service.

We have fulfilled our mission for over 130 years. While publishing is much different today than when we first began, our ministry of serving others with the good news of salvation remains. God has blessed NPH with dedicated and gifted servants who daily carry out his work. We are deeply thankful for the people who have been instrumental in our ministry in years past and who play a role today.

To God be the glory!
