The Seven Words of Jesus
In the gospels, we find that Jesus spoke seven different times while suffering on the cross on Good Friday. He may have said more than what we have in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, but the Holy Spirit decided in his infinite wisdom that he wanted these particular statements to be written down, preserved, and…

The Seventh Word: Trust
This post is part of The Seven Words of Jesus series. “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” (Luke 23:46). Not even a few hours ago, the dying man had cried out with a loud voice, “‘Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?’ which means, ‘My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?’” (Mark 15:34). God…

The Third Word: Compassion
This post is part of The Seven Words of Jesus series. “Woman, here is your son!” Then he said to the disciple, “Here is your mother!” (John 19:26-27). Behold a dying man, hanging on a tree, bearing the full brunt of God’s wrath against sin. This man looks down at a sea full of faces…

The mission of Northwestern Publishing House is to deliver biblically sound, Christ-centered resources within the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod and beyond. As the publisher for and subsidiary of the WELS, NPH has been a 501(c)(3) organization since 1966. This means that NPH is recognized as a non-profit and tax-exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service.
We have fulfilled our mission for over 130 years. While publishing is much different today than when we first began, our ministry of serving others with the good news of salvation remains. God has blessed NPH with dedicated and gifted servants who daily carry out his work. We are deeply thankful for the people who have been instrumental in our ministry in years past and who play a role today.
To God be the glory!
